Course Description

The final session celebrates the beauty of spring flowers and landscapes. Participants will explore a variety of techniques and styles for capturing these vibrant subjects. Fresh flora will be brought into the classroom for students to draw from life, and photographic techniques for close-up floral compositions will also be introduced.

Throughout the session, students will combine three creative approaches: observing and drawing from life, capturing images with a camera, and using imagination to develop unique compositions. These methods will also be applied to landscape work.

A mix of watercolour, coloured pencil, and/or acrylic paints—especially bold, expressive colours—will be encouraged, though those who prefer softer pastel tones are welcome to explore those as well. Each participant will be guided to discover their preferred colour palette as they express their personal connection to the season through their floral and landscape artworks.
