This introductory course provides an overview of community radio, the role it plays in media, and fundamental interviewing techniques.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify the role and impact of community radio.
  2. Explain the roles of the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA) and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
  3. List the policies and regulations that govern community radio operations in Canada.
  4. Describe spoken word and music content regulations for community radio.
