Course Description

For children entering Grades 4–6 in the fall:

Bring your ideas to life with fabric, thread, and creativity! In this week-long camp, you will learn foundational sewing skills while completing projects and altering items brought from home. You will work with sewing machines and practice hand-stitching techniques through hands-on projects that emphasize skill-building and creative exploration. Designed for curious makers interested in textiles, this camp may include a thrifting field trip to a local consignment store.

What to bring to camp:

  • Please pack a backpack that fits your child properly with the following items daily:
  • A large water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.
  • Clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and participation in physical activities outside.
  • A nutritious lunch including 2 healthy snacks. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut butters or nut snacks. Campers will not be able to purchase food at camp and will not have access to the cafeteria or vending machines.
  • Emergency supplies if applicable. E.g., masks, inhalers, medication for allergies etc. On the first day, let the staff know where the emergency supplies are in your child’s backpack.
