CON 099 - Trades Sampler

Course Description

The trades sampler program is ideal for students aged 16 and older wishing to learn hands-on skills, earn general employment certifications, and explore careers in the trades.

This program is a unique opportunity to explore a variety of trades that may include Carpentry, Electrical, Welding, Mechanical Building and Automotive Trades. You will acquire basic skills that will prove fundamental if you decide to become a tradesperson. At the end of the program, you are certified in Forklift, First Aid, Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS).

Please note: An additional Saturday session has been added on Saturday, May 9th for First Aid training; this is outside of the regular schedule, and attendance will required for those that want to get their first aid certificate.

Participants must supply their own PPE including steel-toe boots and cotton coveralls.
