Course Description

This self-paced online course is designed for practicing nurses who want to get a foothold in foot care. Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses compliant, this course examines diabetic care, wound management, psychosocial aspects of care, private practice, and more. Gain skills ideal for use in clinical and community settings. A 21-hour clinical and foot care kit are included.

Theory is delivered online.  3 day clinic will be in Kelowna.

Section Notes

You must:

  • Have an active license and be in good standing with the Nursing college. Okanagan College will reach out to collect this information after registration.
  • Be able to attend the scheduled clinic dates listed in Kelowna. 

Closer to the start date of the course, your contact information will be forwarded to PEDEd so they may enroll you in the online Theory.  

The course is delivered in a cohort based online format, however people can proceed at their own pace throughout. Students review assigned content which may include academic papers, information brochures, videos or more. They complete exercises, quizzes and participate in monitored discussion forums.

NOTE: Late registrations may be accepted.
