CAMP 3301 - Flight Academy

PLEASE NOTE - This camp starts on Tuesday

• Flight experiences are subject to weather conditions, so flight opportunities are not guaranteed. 

• Tuesday academy takes place at Okanagan College Kelowna Campus. Wednesday – Friday, academy is held on site with our partners at the KF Centre for Excellence, 5800 Lapointe Dr. Kelowna BC V1X 7V5. KF is located adjacent to Kelowna International Airport. 

• Transportation is not provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.  

What to bring to camp:

Please pack a backpack that fits your child properly with the following items daily:

A large water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.

Clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and participation in physical activities outside.

A nutritious lunch including 2 healthy snacks. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut butters or nut snacks. Campers will not be able to purchase food at camp and will not have access to the cafeteria or vending machines.

Emergency supplies if applicable. E.g., masks, inhalers, medication for allergies etc. On the first day, let the staff know where the emergency supplies are in your child’s backpack. 

Please note: we recommend labelling all personal items. If items go missing, please check the Lost & Found. All unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of summer. Our staff will do their best to help campers keep track of their items, however, we will not be held responsible for any lost or broken items.

For youth entering Gr. 7-9 & 10-12 in the fall

If you’re captivated by airplanes, the history of aviation, or dream of pursuing a career in this exciting field, this is the Academy for you!  Students will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the world of aviation and explore a variety of aviation fields, such as aircraft mechanics, communication, air traffic control, and the roles of pilots. Expect a week of hands-on instruction at Okanagan College Kelowna campus and the KF Centre for Excellence, conveniently located adjacent to the Kelowna International Airport. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the flight simulator, airport operations, and weather permitting, take to the skies with an experienced pilot for a flight over Kelowna. This is a unique opportunity to explore aviation up close and gain valuable insight into the field. Whether you’re interested in pursuing a career in aviation or simply want to learn more about the world of flight, this camp offers an unforgettable experience!
