LAT 045 - Class 2 Driver’s Training
Course Description
Whether you're planning to operate a school bus, transit bus, or motorcoach, our Class 2 training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to operate safely and professionally.
Training is conducted on an automatic transmission school bus with experienced driving instructors. In addition to preparing for the ICBC road test and pre-trip inspection, you'll gain the essential skills required by school districts, transit authorities, and tour companies to confidently and safely transport passengers.
A Class 2 license also qualifies you to operate any vehicle in Class 4, opening doors to a range of commercial driving opportunities, including ride-hailing services.
This course prepares you for employment in roles such as:

Transit/Commercial Bus Driver

Tour or Charter Bus Driver

Special Activity Bus Driver

Any vehicle permitted under Class 4 and Class 5 license

Notes
The course length is 21 hours including the road test the cost is $2500.00.
Additional hours if need can be purchased at $125.00 an hour available in 3 hour blocks, please contact trades@okanagan.bc.ca if additional hours are required.
The course will be ran with continuous intake. Once the prerequisites have been met and you have signed up for the course your actual start date is determined based on the availability of a road test at ICBC.
Training will be completed on 3-hour blocks for a total of 6 lesson the road test making up the seventh lesson.
Training can occur any day or evenings based on your road test day.
