Course Description

Get ready to earn your Class A Welding certification and take your career to the next level! This intensive 60-hour prep course is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to successfully pass the Class A Welder RTA. Led by experienced instructors, you’ll review essential welding theory, safety practices, and testing techniques while honing your skills through guided practice. Whether you’re upgrading your certification or preparing for new opportunities in the trades, this course will help you perform your best on exam day.

Please note: Exam fees payable to Okanagan College (OC) and the TCSA are not included in the course tuition.

To register for the Class A Welder RTA exam, please ask your instructor for details.

How to prepare: Please remember to bring your own PPE (helmet, gloves, non-synthetic coveralls, and/or non-synthetic long pants (jeans), long sleeved non-synthetic (cotton) shirt, CSA approved safety boots, etc.).

Face masks and/or a respirator must be worn in the Welding shop at all times. Students must bring in their own handtools.

Prerequisites

Admission Requirements: Previous welding experience with a minimum Level B or Level 3 welding certification in Welder Log Book.
