Course Description

For youth entering grade 10-12 in the fall: 

Take your passion for culinary arts to the next level and gain essential skills to prepare for college-level culinary programs! This immersive workshop will guide you through professional techniques in both cooking and baking while exploring flavors and dishes from around the world. You will be learning and practicing in OC’s professional culinary kitchen, using industry-standard tools and methods. Throughout the week, you’ll create meals that are delicious and nutritionally balanced while building the confidence and competencies needed for future culinary studies. Each day in the kitchen, you’ll refine your skills and discover whether a career in the Culinary Arts is the right path for you.

Payment and Registration:

Payment for camp is required at time of registration.

Registration must be completed online. You will need to pay with a VISA or MasterCard credit card or VISA or MasterCard credit debit card only.

Section Notes

What to bring to camp:

Please pack a backpack that fits your child properly with the following items daily: 
A large water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. 
Clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and participation in physical activities outside. 
A nutritious lunch including 2 healthy snacks. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut butters or nut snacks. Campers will not be able to purchase food at camp and will not have access to the cafeteria or vending machines. 
Emergency supplies if applicable. E.g., masks, inhalers, medication for allergies etc. On the first day, let the staff know where the emergency supplies are in your child’s backpack.
Please note: we recommend labelling all personal items. If items go missing, please check the Lost & Found. All unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of summer. Our staff will do their best to help campers keep track of their items, however, we will not be held responsible for any lost or broken items.
