Course Description

This course is designed for RNs and LPNs who wish to further their foot care skills for use in clinical and community settings. All participants must have an active BC nursing license and be in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). 

Topics include foot structure and function, diabetic foot care, wound management, psychosocial aspects of care, as well as operating a private practice. 

Instruction is offered through PEDEd and complies with standards set by Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses. 

Theory courses are delivered in a cohort-based online format; however, people can proceed at their own pace throughout.

There will be a 21-hour offsite clinical included. Students will get their own foot care supply kit.

Notes

Theory is delivered on line.  3 day clinic will be in Kelowna.
