Course Description

This hands-on specialty course provides trades professionals and fabricators with the advanced skills required to weld, finish, and inspect sanitary stainless steel systems used in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries. Building on the foundational principles of GTAW (TIG) welding, this course emphasizes purge welding, tube and pipe preparation, and hygienic surface finishing to meet sanitary codes and aesthetic standards used in brewery, winery, and hospital settings. Participants will gain experience with thin-wall stainless steel tubing and sheet fabrication, as well as learn how to ensure crevice-free, contamination-resistant welds suitable for clean-in-place (CIP) and sterile environments.
