Course Description

For youth entering grades 7-9 in the fall:

Now is your chance to discover what being a recording engineer is all about! Using high-end equipment and industry standard software, you’ll work with industry professionals in OC’s state-of-the-art recording studio to learn the ins and outs of recording. You’ll start your journey by getting to know the equipment and receive an introduction to the software. You’ll learn how to set up microphones and record your own tracks before finally mixing and mastering your own project! Let us guide you in your artistic vision, while learning and having fun.

No musical experience required to join this program

Payment and Registration:

Payment for camp is required at time of registration.

Registration must be completed online. You will need to pay with a VISA or MasterCard credit card or VISA or MasterCard credit debit card only.

Each day is new and exciting! Campers will explore the world of music, recording, mixing, and mastering. Please bring in a pair of headphones for this week.

What to bring to camp? 

Please pack a backpack that fits your child properly with the following items daily: 

A large water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. 

Clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and participation in physical activities outside. 

A nutritious lunch including 2 healthy snacks. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut butters or nut snacks. Campers will not be able to purchase food at camp and will not have access to the cafeteria or vending machines. 

Emergency supplies if applicable. E.g., mask, inhalers, medication for allergies etc. On the first day, let the staff know where the emergency supplies are in your child’s backpack. 

Please note: we recommend labeling all personal items. If items go missing, please check the Lost & Found. All unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of summer. Our staff will do their best to help campers keep track of their items, however we will not be held responsible for any lost or broken items
