Course Description

For plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters and steamfitters involved in the installation and maintenance of backflow prevention devices. This course is a prerequisite for certification as a Backflow Tester through the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA). Students must pre-register and pay for the BCWWA exam at least one week prior to course start date – visit bcwwa.org to register and pay exam costs.  Students are required to register for the certification exam with the BCWWA prior to the exam date. Those who register for the exam without registering first with Okanagan College will not have a seat to write the exam. The exam will take place on the final day of the course. Students must contact BCWWA at 604-433-4389 to determine their eligibility for the exam.
