Course Description

Designed for individuals not currently employed in the dental field who are considering a career as a Dental Assistant.  Provides information and activities to introduce students to the dental profession and to enable individuals to make an informed choice with respect to a dental assisting career.  This is a non-academic course.  Point Value: 1; used for Selection Criteria for the Certified Dental Assistant program at Okanagan College. Students can register for this course any time and have 4 weeks to complete it from their registration date

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION

Students can register any time and have 4 weeks to complete the course from their date of registration. This course is done through Moodle, Okanagan College's Learning Management System.

Your course & tutor information can be found by logging into Moodle. This guide includes your tutor information, assignments, and other important course information.

Existing and Returning Students

Existing and Returning Students will log in to Moodle (mymoodle.okanagan.bc.ca) using their Okanagan College email address (example: firstname.lastname@myokanagan.bc.ca) in order to complete the course. Students who have not reset their password since Feb 2023 will be required to do so before they will be able to log into any Okanagan College website. New Students

New Students will receive an email from IT Security with their Okanagan College Student account information. This is the login you will use to Access Moodle (mymoodle.okanagan.bc.ca) and complete your course and will be different than the login information you used to register for the course. *Please be sure to check your spam folder*. Once logged in, please follow the prompts to set your new password and set up verification methods for Multi-Factor Authentication. Please allow up to 2 hours for your account to become available.
