Course Description

Are bugs damaging the fruit in your backyard?  Is the fruit brown and rotting before picking it?  Are aphids driving you crazy?
If you have these problems, join us as we discuss the common pests of fruit trees in the region - including apples, pears, cherries and peaches.  We will review management methods that rely on non-chemical methods and low-impact pesticides allowed for use in organic production.  Participants will develop diagnostic skills for common pest problems and develop a management plan that can be applied to their property.  There will be a hands-on session with live specimens.
