Course Description

This is a 1-day course designed to improve the effectiveness of red seal certified electricians and prepare them for foreperson positions. Topic explored include: Experience, responsibilities & project requirements, Specifications, schedules and drawings, Project layout/work layout, Activity management, Managing workers, Assessing workers’ capabilities, Material handling and organization, Quality control, Deficiencies, Commissioning, Canadian Electrical Code, Permitting and additional topics to give you an effective understanding of the leadership role as an Electrical Foreperson. The course will highlight and define standards consistent throughout the construction industry, define and break down all the components of construction into easily understandable information and help students learn the theory behind how a foreperson organizes & runs jobs.

Spend less time worrying about unknown expectations and more time focusing on the job at hand to become a more effective team.

 

Prerequisites

A red-seal is preferred, but apprentices who are close to finishing their apprenticeships are welcome to register.
