Course Description

This two-day course will have you exploring not one but two trades. Start the first Saturday in our state-of-the-art Carpentry shop, you will learn how to use basic hand and power tools safety. Spend the day measuring, cutting, sanding, and sealing your custom charcuterie board. Every board will be a little different as you put your own personal touch on your board, leave this Saturday with a beautiful hand-crafted charcuterie board this will for sure be the centre piece for your next get-together.

Now that you have your own custom board, return the following weekend with your board in hand to our professional commercial kitchen and spend the day learning how to make delicious handmade crackers, marinade, quick pickled cucumbers, focaccia, and candied nuts. Our instructor will demonstrate how to construct a gourmet charcuterie board with those recipes along with a collection of meats and cheeses, along with a wine pairing from a Okanagan winery. Leave the course with your own prepared charcuterie board – this might very well be a good evening to have some friends over to showcase and share your board with. At the end of this workshop, you will know how to make and present your own charcuterie boards.

Note: closed toed shoes and long pants are required. Tie back long hair.
