Course Description

This one day workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to hone their wild mushroom identification skills using both pictorial and dichotomous keys. In the morning we will cover the use of the various keys and go on a short foray in a local woodlot to collect specimens. The afternoon will be spent in class with the keys and guides identifying the finds of the morning.  Participants are encouraged to bring any field guides they own, a laptop if they have one and specimens of special interest. This course is designed as the next step in Wild Mushroom Identification.  If you have taken the introductory level and need to learn more, this is the course for you!
